Recipients Recognized at City Council
Seventeen students from across Regina were recognized for their academic accomplishments and making a difference in their community.
Today at City Council, Councillor Lori Bresciani introduced the recipients of the 2023 Henry Baker Scholarship.
“I would like to congratulate the 17 recipients of the Henry Baker Scholarship,” said Councillor Bresciani. “The City of Regina is so very proud to award these scholarships to individuals who have demonstrated academic achievements, community involvement and financial need.”
This year’s recipients of the Henry Baker Scholarship represent a wide spectrum of academic accomplishment and community volunteerism. Academic aspirations include: doctor, energy systems engineering, pediatrician, physical therapist and many others. Charitable work in the community includes EYES, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Special Olympics and more.
The 2023 recipients of the Henry Baker Scholarship, valued at $2,000 each, are:

City Council also expressed appreciation to all of Regina’s post-secondary institutions, including instructors, administrators, operations staff and students, for their commitment to lifelong learning and contribution to community vibrancy.
