Celebrate I Love Regina Day this Saturday
The City of Regina will celebrate I Love Regina Day in Victoria Park on Saturday, August 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“I Love Regina Day is a celebration of everything that makes our city extraordinary - the people, the pride and the sense of community that brings us together,” said Mayor Chad Bachynski. "Victoria Park will come alive with music, food, activities and fun! Whether you’ve lived here your whole life or just arrived, this event is for everyone and I hope to see you there."
Since 2002, I Love Regina Day has been fostering a stronger sense of community and showcasing everything that makes Regina vibrant.
The I Love Regina Day event offers free, family-friendly activities like bouncy castles and face painting, live entertainment and hands-on experiences with City services, including Regina Fire & Protective Services. Residents will enjoy a free barbeque (while supplies last), interactive exhibits from over 50 community organizations and a full day of performances from local talent. Headlining this year will be Regina’s own The Down Home Boys.
The day will kick-off with the I Love Regina Run and Walk at 8:30 a.m., inviting participants of all ages to run, walk or wheel their way through 3K, 5K or 10K accessible routes. The race concludes in Victoria Park, where the rest of the entertainment will take place.
