City Launches 2025/26 Winter City Program
The City of Regina is announcing details of the 2025/26 Winter City program, running from November 16 until March 2026. The program includes numerous free, inclusive and family-friendly events and activities across the city.
“Winter gives everyone a chance to get outside and experience the city in a different way,” said Diana Burton, Director of Recreation & Cultural Services. “These programs provide opportunities for residents to connect with one another and participate in activities that make winter more enjoyable.”
A new addition to this year’s lineup is the Winter City Stamp Rally, a mobile app launching on December 15. It’s an interactive way for residents to explore Regina by visiting participating locations and collecting digital stamps for a chance to win prizes.
Seasonal programming includes snowshoeing, skating, crokicurl, community campfire pits and crafts. Indoor and outdoor activities are available at neighbourhood centres, recreation facilities and community locations throughout the city. Free winter drop-in sessions are scheduled from November 16 through March 2026. When outdoor conditions are unsuitable, programs will move indoors.
The Winter Escapes Day Camp, offered in partnership with the YMCA, returns for families looking for child programming during school breaks. Designed for children aged six to 12, this camp combines outdoor adventures with indoor activities for just $25 per day.
A highlight of the season is FROST Regina - an inclusive winter festival taking place over the first three weekends of February (February 6 to 8, 13 to 16 and 20 to 22). Activities will include Olympic-themed games at Mosaic Stadium at REAL District, horse-drawn carriage rides and dogsledding at Wascana Centre, Frozen the Musical presented by the Globe Theatre, skating in Victoria Park and the winter hop-circuit throughout the Warehouse District. The full FROST Regina schedule will be released soon.
Other community events include Stomp, Glide and Roll - a snowshoe loop challenge on January 17 at Tor Hill - and the Toboggan Hill & Community Campfire Event on March 14 at Mount Pleasant.
