City of Regina Hosts Second Regina Housing Conference
The City of Regina welcomes housing industry leaders, community members and government representatives to the second annual Regina Housing Conference on Tuesday, November 3.
“As Regina continues to grow, so does the need for diverse housing options that meet people where they are in life," says Mayor Chad Bachynski. "By bringing together industry leaders, community organizations and housing experts, this conference helps drive the collaboration and innovation needed to create more housing opportunities for all residents.”
The conference provides an opportunity for housing industry participants to learn about the City of Regina’s housing strategy, to network and to access professional development opportunities on topics such as financing, sustainability and innovative development. Keynote speakers, Barry Chalifoux, Director of Community Development, and Rebecca Âcikahtê, Director of Business Development for Cowessess First Nation, will be presenting on building communities and creating opportunities beyond housing.
"We're proud to put on this conference for a second year," said Bill Neher, City of Regina Manager of Housing. "By creating a forum where professionals from all parts of the housing and development industry can connect, we facilitate innovation, cooperation, opportunity and growth – just what our community needs to continue to create housing options for residents."
The Regina Housing Conference is made possible by the Housing Accelerator Fund, a federal initiative created to address the housing crisis affecting many cities in Canada.
The event is being held at the Conexus Arts Centre on November 3, 2026 and is sold out with more than 230 people registered.
