FROST Regina Celebrates 2026 Festival Success
FROST Regina has completed three great weekends of winter fun with 46,000 residents and visitors taking part. This fifth installment of the winter festival took place in multiple locations across the city from February 6 to 22, 2026. This year’s event showcased all the great activities the city has to offer, no matter the weather.
“FROST Regina continues to show the magic of our community when we come together in the heart of winter,” said Mayor Chad Bachynski. “The creativity of our partners, the commitment of our volunteers and the enthusiasm of tens of thousands of attendees turned cold days into warm memories and made this year’s festival truly unforgettable. Regina is proud to host this incredible event.”
This year’s festival delivered new energy and experiences, including the magic of Disney’s Frozen at Globe Theatre. During FROST Regina, 5,760 people attended 12 sold out performances. The show was extended to March 22, 2026 and is set to be the most successful show in Globe Theatre history! In the lobby, 750 people enjoyed Frozen themed cookies and hot chocolate while getting tinsel and glitter in their hair – a special activation just for FROST.
REAL brought the Olympic spirit to Mosaic Stadium for 5,000 attendees. The Blizzard Bounce had 2,800 brave bouncers and 800 people tried skiing and snow shoeing for the first time.
Regina Downtown hosted the Saskatchewan Science Centre’s JoyLab at the Cornwall Centre for more than 9,000 people who had the opportunity to take fantastical photos.
The Provincial Capital Commission brought back the popular dogsledding and horse-drawn carriage rides. The dog sled team did 600 laps around the track at Wascana Centre, while the horse team completed 200 horse and wagon rides.
New in Wascana Centre this year were FROST brunches at the Conexus Arts Centre. Hundreds of attendees enjoyed this nearly sold out event.
FROST partners and sponsors kept attendees warm festival-wide with more than 11,000 cups of hot chocolate and apple cider.
The City of Regina appreciates all attendees, volunteers, sponsors, partners and organizers who braved the cold to make this year’s festival a success.
FROST Regina was made possible with valued local and community partners: REAL District, Regina Downtown Improvement District, Provincial Capital Commission, Warehouse District, Conexus Arts Centre and Globe Theatre. Additionally, FROST Regina was supported by sponsors including SKIP, Pattison Outdoor, Rawlco, Harvard Media, Casino Regina and SaskEnergy.
