Residential Spring Street Sweep Starts
The 2026 Spring Sweep is now entering residential neighbourhoods. Street sweeping cleans up leaves and remove sand and debris from roads that accumulated over the winter so it doesn’t end up in our sewer system.
Street sweeping will take place between 4 a.m. and 10 p.m., Monday to Friday. During this time, crews will clean more than 1,000 kilometres of residential roads over about six weeks, depending on the weather. Bright orange signs at main neighbourhood entrances will let residents know when sweeping is happening in their area.
When crews are working in a neighbourhood, residents are asked to move their vehicles off the street so the entire road can be cleaned. Neighbours are encouraged to share driveways on sweep days if possible.
Residents can download the Sweep&Plow app to find out when their street will be cleaned and sign up for reminders. Or visit Regina.ca/Sweep and enter your address to find out when crews will be in your neighbourhood.
Street sweeping can create dust that makes it harder to see. Residents should close their windows and use sidewalks away from the work when they can. If you see sweeping equipment, slow down, leave plenty of space, and stay safe.
