Work Begins on Expanding the City’s Water Network
A three-year, major infrastructure project that will expand Regina’s water network to accommodate future growth throughout the city will begin this week.
The project involves the construction of a new water pumping station with a solar system for renewable energy generation, two new water storage reservoirs and an 8.4 km water supply main.
Construction will be done in phases and will start with the water pumping station and reservoirs at 2605 Redbear Avenue East.
Additional project information will be shared as construction progresses. Traffic restrictions along Fleet Street and Redbear Avenue are anticipated to occur in September and October 2023. Traffic restrictions along Ring Road are not anticipated with this project until the 2024 construction season.
