OCP Growth Plan Review
d the 2013 forecasts that informed Design Regina: The Official Community Plan to project population
growth of the city through 2051. This serves as a key input to the
Growth Plan Review, providing data, trends and insights that will help shape the City’s long-term
vision for growth, development phasing and infrastructure planning. The City recently completed a
Water & Wastewater Serviceability Study. The study provides recommendations and guidance to
support long-term growth planning. The study focused on citywide infrastructure system solutions
that will facilitate future growth in new neighbourhoods and create opportunities for development
in established neighbourhoods. The study findings are a critical input to the Growth Plan Review,
helping identify areas of the city with sufficient water and wastewater capacity to support growth.
It also highlights areas where additional investment is required before development can proceed.
