City Completes Water Network Expansion Project Under Budget

$170 million project began in 2023, included the construction of the
new Redbear Avenue Pumping Station, two water storage reservoirs, and an 8.4 kilometer water supply
main. The Redbear Avenue Pumping Station became fully operational in December 2025, with final
landscaping completed in August 2026. The project ensures the City can continue providing reliable
water pressure and service for current residents while expanding capacity to support a population
of up to 310,000 people. The new pumping station and reservoir site was also designed with future
growth in mind and can be expanded to accommodate a population of up to 500,000. The Water Network
Expansion Project represents the City's ongoing commitment to investing in essential infrastructure
that supports a vibrant, safe and healthy community for residents today and into the future. ...
