Albert Street Bridge and Wascana Park Pathway
The City is installing a temporary stormwater drainage bypass on the
east side of the Albert Street Memorial Bridge in Wascana Park. This work is an emergency response
and is absolutely required to repair critical failed infrastructure.
McCarthy Boulevard Project
In 2023, a construction project will take place on McCarthy
Boulevard, in phases, between 9th Avenue North and Sherwood Drive. This work will renew the roadway
and replace concrete medians and sidewalks, improving pedestrian safety and drivability.

Temporary Shelter
A temporary shelter for people experiencing houselessness in Regina
opened January 30, 2023 in The Nest Health Centre, in the former downtown YMCA building. The
shelter was expanded from its initial capacity of 40 spaces to 55 spaces this spring.
Water Hydrant Cart Rental
Hydrant carts are available to rent by contractors who need a
temporary water supply where water is not otherwise available. Hydrant carts can be rented
beginning in spring, once temperatures become seasonal and collected no later than October 1,
weather permitting.
Westhill Meadow
The Westhill Park Meadow was designed in 2001 to replace an existing flat, crusherdust field with
semi-natural grassland and woodland habitats for native plants, birds, insects and animals. Its
design was intended to prevent soil erosion, and stay in a natural
state.
