Resident Verification Program and Non-Resident Recreation Fees

verification start? Resident verification began February 1, 2026 and the non-resident fee is now in
effect for all registered recreation programs. Does this apply to all registered recreation
programs? Yes, all registered recreation programs are subject to the non-resident surcharge if
residency is not verified. How often do I need to verify? Verification only needs to be completed
once, unless your address changes. Can I verify my residency online? No, verification must be done
in person. Who can verify residency for a family account? Any adult listed on the account can
verify residency for the entire family. When does the non-resident surcharge begin? The
non-resident surcharge begins with Summer 2026 registered programs. How much is the non-resident
surcharge? The non-resident surcharge is a 50 per cent increase on registered program fees. Does
the surcharge apply to Leisure Passes? No, the surcharge applies only to registered programs such
as swimming lessons, fitness programs and fine arts. It does not apply to single admissions, bulk
admissions or Leisure Passes. I changed my address online, do I need to re-verify? Yes. If you
change your address online, your account will automatically revert to non-resident status and you
will need to re-verify at a leisure centre. What happens if I don’t verify my residency? If you do
not verify, you will be marked as a non-resident, and as such you will have a later registration
date and be subject to a 50 per cent surcharge. If I forget to verify and register as a
non-resident, can I get a refund? No, refunds will not be offered. Please ensure that you have
verified your address before registering for a recreation program. What if I have a disability that
prevents me from completing in-person verification? If you have a disability that prevents you from
completing in‑person verification, please contact the Inclusion Support Office at 639-590-8895 or
InclusionSupport@regina.ca for assistance with completing the resident verification process. How
can I tell if my address has been verified? You can confirm your residency status in the following
ways: Call the PlayLine at 306-777-PLAY and have an agent check your account status. Log into your
Recreation Online account. When you add an activity to your cart: If your address is verified, only
the standard program fee will appear. If your address is not verified, a non-resident surcharge

current opportunities. Warriors of the Water Improve your swimming, leadership, teamwork, and
lifeguarding/lifesaving skills. Participants will learn the basics of swimming and water safety
education as well as first aid skills. Instructors will work with participants to help them learn
and grow their swimming ability, with an opportunity to become fully certified as a lifeguard and
swim instructor. This program is for Indigenous children and youth in partnership with Regina
Treaty/Status Indian Services (RTSIS). Lessons provided for both Juniors (8-12 yrs) and Seniors

Dog Parks
owners stay away from the creek or use at their own risk. Owners and their dogs are advised to stay
off the ice due to thin ice concerns. All owners visiting off-leash
areas are to have their dog under complete control by either physical or verbal means at all times,
according to the Regina Animal Bylaw. What do I do if my dog is attacked? Dog owners are to use the
off-leash park at their own risk. Unless you are able to get the contact information of the other
dog owner and come to an agreement on who will be responsible for the vet bill, it is ultimately
your responsibility. Dangerous dogs can be reported to the Regina Humane Society at 306-777-7700.
Do I need to clean up after my dog? Poop n’ scoop is mandatory. Immediately dispose of any
defecation caused by your dog. Failure to pick up after your dog may result in a fine. Where can I
park at the permanent dog parks? Cathy Lauritsen, residents can park in the parking lot off of 13th
Avenue, or on the street itself. Ross Industrial, residents can only park on Solomon Crescent.
