Body Rub Establishment Licensing Bylaw
The Body Rub Establishment Licensing Bylaw was created to establish a licensing scheme and provide regulatory requirements for body rub establishments and workers.
- No person shall operate a body rub establishment in the City without a valid and subsisting licence.
- A licence shall be required for each location and every operator shall be named as an applicant in the licence application.
- If an operator of a body rub establishment is also a body rub worker, that person must also hold a licence as a body rub worker.
- No person shall offer, arrange, supervise, schedule, provide services or work, either as an employee, contractor or other affiliation, in a body rub establishment, without a valid and subsisting body rub worker licence.
There are fines in place for individuals and/or operators who do not comply with the regulations within the bylaw. Fines can reach up to $25,000.
