City Council Announces 2025 Henry Baker Scholarship Recipients
The City of Regina is pleased to recognize the 2025 recipients of the Henry Baker Scholarship.
“Congratulations to the 17 recipients of the Henry Baker Scholarship,” said Mayor Chad Bachynski. “These students have shown outstanding commitment to their studies and to giving back to the community. We are proud to support their next steps and look forward to the impact they will have on our city and beyond. Supporting their goals is an investment in Regina’s future.”
Each recipient will receive a $2,000 scholarship to support their post-secondary education in Regina. The $1,000 Mryglod Scholarship will not be awarded this year, as no qualifying application was received.

This year’s recipients demonstrate a wide range of academic goals, including careers in medicine, engineering, law, dental hygiene, social work and public policy. Their volunteer work includes contributions to organizations such as Regina Food Bank, Regina Paramedics with Heart, Student Energy in Action for Regina Community Health (SEARCH), Bright Eyes Dog Rescue and more.
Since its creation in 1990, the scholarship program has awarded more than $450,000 to more than 250 students.
