City of Regina Seeks Resident Feedback on Encampment Strategy Survey is live until September 29, 2025
The City of Regina is updating its Encampment Response Strategy and seeking input from the community. Feedback will inform a report to City Council outlining options and recommendations.
In addition to conducting a public survey, the City will hold focus groups with local service providers and gather information from people who live and have lived in encampments. The City hopes to hear from a wide range of residents including those who provide direct support to people who are houseless, those who have experienced living or working near an encampment and the general public.
The City of Regina currently defines an encampment as one or more tents or temporary shelters put up in one place. The City’s current response considers whether an encampment is located on private or public property, how many tents are observed and whether there is a safety risk.
Residents are encouraged to provide feedback through this BeHeard survey BeHeard.Regina.ca/Encampment-Response-Strategy until September 29, 2025.
