City of Regina Summer Leisure Guide Now Available
The City of Regina’s Summer Leisure Guide is now available online. Registration for a wide range of programs and activities throughout the summer opens at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12 for verified residents and Tuesday, May 19 for non-residents and non-verified residents. Resident verification is required to access early registration and resident pricing.
“The Summer Leisure Guide provides residents with opportunities to stay active, connect with others and enjoy a wide range of recreation experiences throughout the summer,” said Diana Burton, Director of Recreation & Cultural Services. “From swimming lessons and fitness programs to creative and inclusive offerings, there are options for everyone.”
This year’s Summer Leisure Guide includes 1,199 registered programs, the highest in recent years. The increase reflects the return of full programming at Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre, which was closed for scheduled maintenance during the summer of 2025.
Residents can cool off at any of the five outdoor pools and 16 spray pads located across the city. Full schedules and locations are available at Regina.ca/OutdoorPools. Drop-in fitness and recreation options, including Aquacise and Adult Swim, are also available for residents looking to stay active without registering for a full program. Drop-in schedules are at Regina.ca/DropIn.
New programs this season include:
- Group Singing Class (18 years and older): Presented by SaskMusic, this class is designed for beginners and returning singers looking to build confidence in a group setting.
- Lego Engineering and Robotics (ages six to 13): Participants build moving models, mosaics and 3D structures at hands-on stations with older children advancing to the Spike Prime platform to build and program robotic models using block and Python coding.
- Fun Spots: This free, drop‑in summer program brings recreation games, sports like soccer and basketball and creative arts and crafts to neighbourhoods across Regina. Parents or a caregiver must attend with their children.
The City continues to strengthen inclusive recreation by expanding adapted programming and reducing barriers to participation for residents with disabilities. Returning adapted programs include Adapted Leisure Swim and the Evening Adult Social Program, along with new offerings such as Adapted Teen Gym Orientation at the Fieldhouse, North West Leisure Centre and South Leisure Centre. Free admission for approved external support attendants and access to free inclusion support services are also available.
Residents who have not verified their address should do so before May 12. Address verification can be completed during regular operating hours at select leisure centres or at the Regina’s Farmers’ Market on Wednesday, May 6. Unverified residents will not be able to register until May 19 and will be subject to the 50 per cent non‑resident surcharge. More information is available at Regina.ca/Verify.
