Create Winter Magic – Apply Now for a Winter Initiatives Grant
Winter is a season of opportunity in Regina, and the City is inviting local businesses, community organizations and residents to help bring that opportunity to life. Applications are now open for the 2025 Winter Initiatives Grant (WIG), a funding program that supports creative, inclusive and engaging winter projects.
The grant supports initiatives that align with the City’s Winter City Strategy by encouraging residents to embrace winter and activate outdoor spaces in creative and meaningful ways. A total of $50,000 in funding is available, with applicants eligible to receive between $500 and $5,000. Funded initiatives must take place between December 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026.
Applications are open to all residents, including community associations, non-profit groups, community-based organizations, businesses and individuals. Examples of eligible projects include free or low-cost art or sports programs, light displays, community events or cultural celebrations.
Priority will be given to projects that focus on getting residents outdoors, celebrate Regina’s culture, heritage and traditions, are free or low-cost and open to the public and are either new, innovative or have not previously been funded by WIG.
Applications will be accepted until September 11, 2025.
