Shared e-Scooters Are Back in Regina
As the weather gets warmer, the City is helping kick off the summer with the return of shared e-scooters, which will once again be available to rent starting May 1.
The 2025 season is building off the success of last year, which saw more than 20,000 unique riders rent an e-scooter. Those users travelled a total of 174,270 kilometers over 66,236 separate rides.
Neuron Mobility will be returning in 2025 as the single vendor for the Shared e-Scooter Program, providing 500 e-scooters across Regina. Residents can find a link to download the Neuron app on Regina.ca/Escooters.
This project page also includes rules and regulations that will remain in place for the 2025 season to help ensure the safe operation of e-scooters. These rules include:
- One rider at a time. No passengers are allowed.
- Helmets are mandatory.
- Riders must be at least 16 years old.
- E-scooters are allowed to operate on multi-use pathways, bike lanes and on roads that have a speed limit of 50 km/hr or less.
- The maximum speed limit for riding on roadways and bike lanes is 24 km/hr.
- The maximum speed limit for riding on pathways is 15 km/hr.
- Riders should travel in bike lanes where possible.
- E-scooters should follow the City’s parking regulations when parking in residential areas.
- Be considerate of others, especially members of the accessibility community by never leaving e-scooters on a sidewalk, pathway or in a bike lane.
- Shared e-scooters are not allowed on Regina Transit.
E-scooters are a great way to get around our city and provide an alternate mode of transportation. Adding e-scooters as a transportation option is one way to help the City of Regina achieve its goal of achieving a renewable, net zero City by 2050.
