Waste Services Moving to Winter Schedule
Starting November 1, the City of Regina’s waste services will be moving to the winter schedule, resulting in some minor changes to operational hours and collection times.
Yard Waste Depot Hours
The Yard Waste Depot will close for the season at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 1. Before then, residents can drop off leaves, grass clippings, bush and tree trimmings and other yard waste. Yard waste must be removed from plastic bags before it is dropped off.
The Yard Waste Depot will re-open temporarily to support the Treecycle Program during the holiday season from December 26, 2025 to January 31, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Yard waste can go in the green cart year around.
Landfill Hours
The final day of the Landfill’s summer schedule is Saturday, November 1. The Landfill will be closed the following day, but will reopen again on Monday, November 3 with the winter schedule. The winter hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday and closed on Sundays. The entry gates will continue to close at 5:15 p.m. to allow vehicles to unload and exit the Landfill by 5:30 p.m.
Green Cart Collection Schedule
Beginning the week of Monday, November 3, the City will be moving to a biweekly green cart collection schedule. Residents’ specific collection calendar will automatically update with the new schedule.
This collection calendar, as well as other important information about waste services, can be found on the Regina Waste app or at Regina.ca/Waste.
