When is the start of the 48 or 24-hour clock to clear the sidewalk? The timeline to clear a
sidewalk is considered to begin once snow/rain stops falling, or when the wind stops blowing snow
onto the roads and sidewalks. Property owners can also be in violation of the bylaw outside of
specific snow events if their walk is not shovelled as appropriate. For example, if high winds are
causing drifts across the sidewalk, the property owner must clear the sidewalk even though it was
not a specific snow event. What does it mean to “clear” the sidewalk? A safe and even walking
surface is expected on all City sidewalks adjacent to the property by clearing to the sidewalk
edges and as close to the concrete as possible. It should be shovelled within the allotted time to
ensure snow and ice do not build up or cause slippery conditions for users. Where can I put the
snow? Snow removed from sidewalks can be placed on the adjacent property or the curb next to the
sidewalk, ensuring it does not interfere with traffic. Shovelling or blowing snow into the driving
lane is a bylaw violation. Snow from driveways and private walkways should remain on the property.
I live on a corner lot. Am I expected to clear in front and along the side? Yes, all parts of the
sidewalk adjoining your property are expected to be cleared. What happens if I don’t shovel my
sidewalk? The goal of the bylaw is to ensure sidewalks across our community are accessible for our
neighbours throughout the winter months. Should enforcement be required, City staff will issue a
Notice of Non-Compliance to the property owner to clear the sidewalk in a specified timeframe. If
the property owner does not comply within the specified timeframe, the City will take action to
have the sidewalks cleared and the costs applied to their property taxes. What will the cost be if
the City has to clear the sidewalks? Our contractor charges an hourly rate that is comprised of
labour, equipment and snow removal costs. The amount applied to the property owner’s tax account is
based on the amount of time it takes the contractor to clear the sidewalk, which varies depending
on the size of the lot and the amount of snow/ice removed. ...

booth placement For Performers! Performer or Demonstration Requirements: Must be able to fill at
least one 15-minute time slot. Must fit on the I Love Regina Day Stage – approx. 24' x 20'. Must
bring their own pre-recorded music for their performance, played from a personal electronic device.
Musicians must bring their own instruments and backline. Performers are responsible for their own
load-in/load-out. Attention: Available performance time slots are limited and are selected based on
a variety of diverse acts. If you require assistance or accommodations, please indicate this in
your application. By submitting this application, your performance is not guaranteed. Once your
application has been reviewed, the event organizer will contact you and let you know if it has been

Applicants must be approved before participating in I Love Regina Day. If you have not been
contacted with an approval confirmation within 10 business days of submitting your application,
please reach out to ILoveRegina@Regina.ca. Your participation is not associated with being an event
sponsor. The City of Regina has the right to deny any individual, organization, group or business
participation in I Love Regina Day and the City retains the right in its sole discretion to select
exhibitors, partners, performers and demonstrations that meet the requirements of this application
and align with the purpose and intent of the event and the strategic goals of the City. See “Terms
& Conditions” for additional details. Once the City has approved an Applicant, information on
exhibitor booth locations in Victoria Park and/or performance times, set-up instructions, drop-off
locations and parking will be provided closer to the event date. Applicants will also be notified
if there is an event cancellation or alteration due to poor weather conditions. If you can no
longer participate in I Love Regina Day, you must provide the event organizer with at least 10
business days’ notice. No-shows without communication on the day of the event will result in a
status change to “not in good standing” for future events organized by the City of Regina. The City
recommends that Applicants purchase insurance to protect against any risks associated with their

for its shared e-scooter. Please refer to their website or app for
pricing details. 3. Who picks up the e-scooters once they are dropped off? Neuron has staff who
will locate, rebalance, or reposition e-scooters as they are parked throughout the day. 4. How do I
report sidewalk clutter or abandoned e-scooters? Concerns or reports of improper parking/clutter
should be reported directly to the vendor. This can be done through the vendor's app, or through

age to ride an e-scooter? The provincial regulations require that e-scooter riders be a minimum age
of 16 years old. 6. Is a helmet required to ride an e-scooter? Yes, it is a provincial requirement
that e-scooter riders wear a helmet. when using a shared e-scooter you are welcome to use your own
or the one that is provided with the e-scooter. 7. What is the cost of the shared e-scooter program
to the City? A shared e-scooter program is intended to be cost neutral for the City. 8. Where do I
park my e-scooter? E-scooters must park in one of the following areas: In an approved designated
parking area In legal vehicle parking areas where there is no time restrictions or parking meters
present Please park an e-scooter in a manner that does not create a hazard or obstruction to
pedestrians or traffic. Do not park your e-scooters: Within a pay parking, loading zone, or time
restricted stall unless marked as a designated e-scooter parking area Within a driving lane On a
pathway, or within 1.0 m of a pathway Within shrub beds or 0.5 metres of a tree Within 2.0 metres
of a fire hydrant or curb crossing Directly on furniture (such as benches, garbage cans,
flowerpots) located on the street, sidewalk, or pathway 9. Where can I ride my scooter? Park
Pathways and Multiuse Pathways at a maximum speed limit of 15 km/h Roads with a speed limit of 50
km/h or less Designated bike lanes* *Note: E-Scooters must remain within a bike lane if one is
present on the road they are travelling on. E-scooters cannot operate on: Roads with a speed limit
over 50 km/h, unless there is a designated bike lane that the operator must remain in Sidewalks 10.
Why are we not allowing e-scooters to ride on sidewalks? Sidewalk riding is prohibited to ensure a
safe and minimal impact to pedestrians, accessibility users or other vulnerable people on the
sidewalk. 11. Can you double ride on a e-scooter? No, the provincial regulations only allow for one
person to ride an e-scooter at a time. 12. What are the environmental benefits of using e-scooters?
E-scooters have no emissions during their use and provide the opportunity for users to explore an
alternative to passenger vehicles. 13. What e-scooters are allowed on Regina Transit? Only personal
e-scooters are allowed on Regina Transit. Shared e-scooters that are rented from Neuron are not
allowed on Regina Transit. 14. Where are the slow down areas? Slow down areas with a maximum speed
limit of 15 km/h are effective on multi use pathways, park pathways, Pat Fiacco Plaza, and
Frederick W. Hill Mall, or in any other slow down areas determined by the City. ...
