2026, the City has completed 33 actions and 41 are in progress. Of the short-term actions completed
by the end of 2025, 46 per cent are complete and 47 per cent are currently in progress. With the
budget approved for 2026, nearly all short-term actions are expected to be completed by the end of
2026. Some highlights of the actions that have been completed so far are: disability awareness
training for staff, more collaboration between staff on accessibility priorities including
sidewalks, more meaningful engagement with people with lived experience, accessibility upgrades to
public City facilities and more frequent transit service.
