The City of Regina provides a tax exemption for the development of affordable and market rental housing.

? Are the assessments of similar properties in the neighbourhood similar to the assessment? Is the property’s assessed value reflective of the sale price of what similar properties have sold for in the same neighbourhood as of January 1, 2023? Estimates are provided to give property owners additional time to understand the potential impact the updated property assessment value would have on their taxes, if current tax policies were applied. The assessed value of a property is just one of the factors used in the tax formula. Budget decisions made by the provincial government and/or City Council may increase or decrease actual tax amounts in 2025 due to changes that are made to tax policies and tax tools.
