City of Regina Building Capacity Above and Below Ground During 2026 Construction Season
ensure storm water flows away from homes and into Wascana Creek. Residents can learn more about
these projects by clicking the project page links at Regina.ca/ConstructionMap. The other two major construction projects will launch
later this season. More details will be shared closer to their start dates. “The City’s
infrastructure is a top priority for our residents and that makes it a top priority for us,” said
Kurtis Doney, Deputy City Manager, City Operations. “This construction season we’re making
investments into better roads, improved water, wastewater and drainage systems and enhanced
streetscapes.” The City has an online construction map to help residents better understand
construction in their neighbourhood. The map provides up-to-date information about planned
infrastructure improvements, including the type of project and expected start and end dates.
Residents can view this map at Regina.ca/ConstructionMap. The City
is committed to minimizing disruptions for residents, including working extended hours and on
weekends, whenever possible. For example, full Ring Road closures to support the Albert Street
Overpass Upgrade Project will only happen on weekends to minimize disruptions during the work week.
Residents are reminded to plan ahead, slow down and drive safely.
