Cart Swap Request
s. If you wish to add an additional cart to your account or if your cart is not functional due to
cart damage, please contact Service Regina. noreply@regina.ca *If
you have previously submitted a cart exchange request, we have you on our list! Please do not
submit another request. On January 1, 2026, the waste fee on the utility bill will be based on the
size of garbage cart. The rate as of January 1, 2026 is set as follows: 240 litre - $0.41/day or
$149.65/year 360 litre - $0.66/day or $240.90/year This charge includes the costs associated with
the collection and processing of the food and yard waste cart (240 litres), the recycling cart (360
litre) and your chosen size of garbage cart. To request a different size of garbage cart (smaller
or larger), add an additional cart to your account or if your cart is not functional due to damage,
please contact Service Regina at 306-777-7000 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Requests
for a smaller garbage cart: The current projected timeline for a smaller garbage cart is Fall of
2024 Wait times to receive your new cart depend on request volumes, weather and cart supply.
Exchange requests will be accepted year-round; however, Cart exchanges during the winter are
subject to weather conditions, which can lead to extended delays. Cart exchanges are managed by a
different team after the collection unit has emptied your cart on the scheduled waste day. To
ensure the exchange is completed, please leave your cart out until 3 p.m. on collection days until
the exchange is completed. Please note: If you have requested a smaller cart, you will be charged
for the smaller cart even if you haven’t yet received it. It could take up to 14 days for your
