Emergency Supplemental Food Assistance
Help is available for those in emergent need of food assistance.
You can place an emergency order with the Regina Food Bank if you have never received food from the food bank before or if you haven’t used their services in the past six months. Call the Regina Food Bank at 306-791-6533.
The Salvation Army also provides Emergency Food Assistance. If you require assistance, please call 306-757-4600 to schedule an in-person intake appointment.
Safe Shelter
Many local shelters have been affected by measures in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19. A Shelter Committee consisting of representatives from the City, the Province and local agencies has been established to identify and address shelter needs, and ensure our vulnerable populations continue to receive support services.
Who to Call for Help
Food Security
- If you or someone you know is in critical need of food support services, call 306-777-7000.
Emergency Shelter
- People in an emergency situation who don’t have enough money to meet their basic needs, can call the Provincial Client Service Centre at 1-866-221-5200 or their local income assistance service centre. Agency staff will work with them to address their most immediate needs, including shelter and food.
Community Support Services
- Call 2-1-1 or visit sk.211.ca. 211 Saskatchewan is a United Way initiative that is a free, 24/7 resource for information on community and support services in the province
