Grants & Scholarships
Through grants and scholarships, the City of Regina assists with the development, delivery, coordination, and facilitation of programs and services that enhance the social well-being and quality of life of Regina citizens.
Community Investment Grants Program (CIGP)
The City offers a range of grants and funding opportunities each year in the areas of culture, social development and sport & recreation. Through the Community Investment Grants Program (CIGP), the City funds and partners with community non-profit organizations to deliver programs and services to Regina residents that align with city priorities, have a clear community impact and respond to community needs.
In 2017, the CIGP provided approximately $3.37 million dollars to 196 non-profit organizations within our community. Through this funding, these organizations were able to provide 232,936 hours of programming to our residents, which allowed 2,183,404 participants to enjoy a variety of events, initiatives and programs throughout the community.
Organizations are invited to apply for funding under a stream that is most relevant to their organization’s core operations or initiative. In some cases, organizations may be eligible to apply for more than one grant. We will assist applicants in identifying the most relevant stream for their application.
Henry Baker Scholarship Program
The City of Regina awards 17 scholarships annually to students attending post-secondary educational institutions in Regina through the Henry Baker Scholarship Program.
Since 1990, The City has awarded scholarships to students that excel in their studies and also make a difference in their community. In addition to supporting exceptional student achievement and recognizing the importance of our educational institutions, the program supports Council’s vision of providing opportunities for young people in our community.
Thank you to everyone who applied to the 2018 Henry Baker Scholarship Program. All awards have been disbursed to the successful recipients and applications are currently closed. Please check back in March of 2019 for the next available intake.
