Energy conservation and emission reduction features include a high-efficient water heating plant, solar panels, LED lighting and variable speed pool pumps. Approximately 30% of the energy for the facility comes from the solar panels. We used as much real estate as possible and available on the site for this feature. How much did the facility cost and who funded it? The Wascana Pool Renewal Project cost $16.4 million. The project received $12 million in funding from the Government of Saskatchewan through the Municipal Economic Enhancement Program (MEEP). The City covered the remainder of the cost.
