Community Partner Grant
Annual Activity grants provide funding for eligible recurring or ongoing activities offered by
non-profit organizations. There are two levels of funding available through this grant program:
Minor Funding: Up to $10,000, for initiatives that are completed within 12 months. Major Funding:
Over $10,000 and up to $30,000, for initiatives that are completed within 12 months. Special
exceptions can be made for grants that have a unique nature and demonstrate that it will take
longer than 12 months to complete. In some cases, organizations may receive approval to spend their
allocated funds over a period of up to 24 months. New Applicants If your organization is looking to
receive funding for recurring ongoing events or series/season, apply for an Annual Activity grant.
We encourage your organization to refer to the New Initiative/Annual Activity Guidelines before
completing an application form. Application Deadline: The deadline for 2025 applications is
February 6, 2025, at 4:45 p.m. Applications Forms: The application deadline has passed.
Adjudication: The Social Development Grant Review Committee reviews applications for the Annual

Grant Incentives

a Service Request Reach out to one of our Service Coordinators Storefront Improvement Grant
Incentive This grant covers up to 50% of eligible project costs for exterior aesthetic storefront
improvements up to a maximum of $50,000 upon project completion. Tenant Fit-up Grant Incentive This
is a grant to support fitting-up units/space for a new tenant within an existing building and
covers up to 50% of eligible project costs to a maximum of $50,000. Program Area To be eligible for
the Storefront Improvement or Tenant Fit-up Incentive, your project must: Be located within the
City Centre boundary outlined on the map Include eligible project costs outlined in the CCIP Guide
Note: Projects located within the priority funding area will be prioritized first. Note: If you are
applying for the Tenant Fit-up Incentive, only new businesses are eligible. Alterations or
expansions of existing businesses are not eligible for the incentive. If you are applying for the
Storefront Improvement Incentive, both existing and new businesses are eligible. Please review the
