
The Accessible Playground Grant Program provides financial support to non-profit organizations to replace or upgrade existing playgrounds or build new accessible playgrounds that meet the City of Regina’s Accessible Playground Design Standard. The program promotes the creation of welcoming and inclusive play spaces in neighbourhoods across the city.
Organizations may apply for up to 30 per cent of total project costs, to a maximum of $80,000. A total of $160,000 is available for 2026.
Projects must be located in Regina and accessible for public use.

Who Can Apply
Registered non‑profit organizations that meet the following criteria:
- Incorporated for at least one year
- Have minimum of 40 per cent project funding secured at time of application submission deadline
- Playgrounds located in Regina and open for public use
- In good standing with the City (no outstanding taxes, fees or reports)
Assessment and Decision
The Grant Review Committee evaluates applications for eligibility, completeness and compliance with the City of Regina’s Accessible Playground Design Standard.
Final funding decisions will be issued by May 29, 2026.

Application Deadline
The deadline to apply is April 9, 2026 at 4 p.m.
Follow Up Reporting
Grant recipients will be required to submit a completed Follow-Up Report. See 2026 Follow-up Report for details on required documentation.
The Follow-Up Report must be submitted within 90 days of the final playground inspection.
