The City of Regina does not provide Surveyor’s Certificates and Real Property Reports due to provincial legislation. Please contact a licensed land surveyor if you require this information.
Who Can Request This Information
- Property Owners – Current owners can request permit records and available historical plans for their property.
- Corporate Property Owners – Authorized representatives of a company listed on the land title may also request documents.
- Representatives (e.g., contractors, realtors) – If you are not the registered owner, a signed and dated authorization letter from the property owner is required.
- Interested parties – Anyone can request a permit history for a property, as this information is part of the public record.
Required Documents
All requests require:
- Civic address of the property
No additional requirements are required for a permit history request.
Please include the following with all other requests:
- Valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license) as proof of ownership
- Authorization letter if you are not the owner
You may also bring your ID and documents in person to City Hall for verification.
Fees and Processing Time
Cost depends on the number, size and format of the documents.

- Larger files: May exceed $100+ based on complexity

You will receive a cost estimate before proceeding with payment. Payment can be made in person or by phone after your request is processed and before the plans are released.
Residential property plans are typically fulfilled within five business days, and commercial plans can take up to 15 business days.
