Affordable Access Program

The City offers reduced rates for programs and transit passes to ensure all residents can be included through the Affordable Access Program. It’s easy to apply.

Affordable Fun Pass

50% reduced cost

For use at:

  • Sportplex (Fieldhouse and Lawson Aquatic Centre)
  • North West Leisure Centre
  • Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre
  • Outdoor Pools
  • City Arenas

Registered

Programs    

80% reduced cost up to maximum $160 per family member per year

For use at:

  • Neil Balkwill Civic Arts Centre
  • Sportplex (Fieldhouse and Lawson Aquatic Centre)
  • North West Leisure Centre
  • Sandra Schmirler Leisure Centre

Affordable Transit Pass

20% reduced cost
  • Available to Adult and Youth
  • Good for conventional transit routes and Paratransit
  • If eligible, passes must be purchased from the Transit Information Centre (2124 11th Ave) or the Transit Operations Centre (333 Winnipeg St)

The City’s leisure, recreation, arts and culture programs help residents stay active and healthy. They also help us build new relationships and make new friends. That’s why we are offering reduced rates for our registered programs. There are hundreds of great recreation and leisure programs to choose from such as swimming, arts and crafts, and sport and fitness. Find them in our Leisure Guide.

Eligibility Requirements

You are eligible for the Affordable Access Program if your household income is less than the amount indicated below.

 How to Apply

  • Complete the Affordable Access Program Application and attach the required income verification. Incomplete applications will be returned and will identify what is missing.
  • If you have questions about required income documents, call us at 306-777-7733 to discuss.
  • Average time to process application forms is two to three weeks, so get your application in as soon as possible.
  • Income documents will be destroyed after eligibility has been determined in accordance with the City’s Privacy Policy.
  • Programs cannot be discounted retroactively.
  • Affordable Access approval is granted until the end of the calendar year. Residents must re-apply every year.
