Image of the City of Regina

Regina’s water originates in the Rocky Mountains and travels from Alberta to Saskatchewan and to the Buffalo Pound Water Treatment Plant. Our water travels about 60 kilometres from the plant to reach our community. To meet the needs of residents in Regina, we have an extensive water distribution system, which flows through more than 3,000 kilometres of pipe.

We test water on a continuous basis to ensure it meets or exceeds health and quality standards. We are required to report this information to the Saskatchewan Water Security Agency. Read the 2017 Drinking Water Quality and Compliance Report.
