Off-Leash Areas Eight of Regina’s outdoor boarded rinks act as
seasonal off-leash areas for your dogs. Seasonal areas open from May 1 to September 30 each year,
unless noted otherwise. The hours of operation are: School Days - 4 to 11 p.m. Non-School Days - 6
a.m. to 11 p.m. The seasonal off-leash areas will remain unlocked unless Parks Maintenance is
actively doing repairs. Starting from early to mid-November, all outdoor rinks will be locked as crews prepare for the outdoor ice season. North Zone M.

all city parks if they are on a leash, wearing a current license and obeying the Regina Animal
Bylaw including picking up after their pet. The Animal Bylaw also applies to the off leash dog
park. What maintenance is done in the permanent off-leash areas? The parks are maintained by the
City of Regina. Maintenance consists of mowing, scheduled garbage removal, snow removal to the gate
and minor site repairs. We also look to users to help maintain and look after the space by picking
up after themselves and their pets. Why is Cathy Lauritsen not fenced on all sides? The Cathy
Lauritsen Off-Leash Dog Park is located within a floodplain. If fencing had been installed along
the creek it would have needed to be set back approximately 100 feet from the creek side, and this
would greatly reduce the dog park area. Fencing along the creek would also impede spring runoff and
cause ice damming. For this reason, fencing has not been considered for this part of the park. Has

Sportplex (1717 Elphinstone Street) across from Mosaic Stadium welcomes nearly 400,000 visitors
through its doors each year and includes the Fieldhouse, Lawson Aquatic Centre and Tracks Cafe. The
Fieldhouse features a 200m oval track with six lanes, indoor tennis courts, badminton courts,
basketball court and cycling area. Additional amenities include a strength and conditioning area
with accessible weightlifting machines, two classrooms and accessible washrooms, showers, parking
stalls and entrances. Amenities inside the Lawson Aquatic Centre feature an eight- lane, 65-metre
pool, one- and three-metre diving boards, a dive tower, swirlpool, warm toddler pool, strength and
conditioning area and dry sauna. In addition, the Sportplex also features a portable chair lift for
pool access, accessible family change room with plinth and accessible parking and entrances on both
