Reading Your Water Meter
Depending on the type of meter installed at your property, your display may look different. Please follow the instructions for your meter type to ensure accurate billing.
Neptune MACH 10 Ultrasonic Meter
- Open the lid.
- The MACH 10 display cycles between several screens every six seconds. The first screen displays total water consumption in cubic metres (m³).
- Include all digits except the final digit on the far right (used for partial consumption).
- You may also see symbols for leak detection, reverse flow, low battery, or empty pipe. These are for informational purposes only and do not affect your meter reading submission.

Sensus Mechanical Dial Meter
- Read all digits on the dial from left to right.
- Include all numbers, including any leading zeroes.
- Ignore the red sweep dial (used for leak detection).
Sensus Electronic Meter (Digital LCD Display)
- Record the numbers shown on the screen.
- Include all digits except the final digit on the far right (used for partial consumption).
How to Submit Your Meter Reading
You can submit your reading using one of the following methods:
- Submit a Service Request at Regina.ca
- Phone: 306-777-7000 (Option #1)
- Email: utilitybilling@regina.ca
Please include:
- Your name
- Your service address
- Your 12-digit City of Regina Water and Waste account number
- Your meter reading (based on the instructions above)
- If using email, a photo of your meter reading
If you do not submit a monthly meter reading, your bill will be based on estimated consumption.
