Northeast Neighbourhood Drainage Improvement Project

The City of Regina continues  to deliver on its investment for the Northeast Neighbourhood Drainage Improvement Project. The project will replace and upgrade the storm sewer system to help reduce ponding as well as street and basement flooding to homes within the neighbourhood.

Project Outcomes

  • Installation of new sewer mains
  • Reduced risk of basement flooding
  • Reduction of ponding in front of homes in the area
  • Surface restorations will reduce the number of potholes to ensure rainwater is able to flow to the storm drains

Traffic Restrictions

Work will continue in 2025 on the

  • 300 block of Ottawa Street
  • 200 & 300 block of St John Street
  • 100 block of Osler Street
  • 100 block of Halifax Street
  • 3rd Avenue North between St John Street & Halifax Street
  • 4th Avenue North between St John Street & Osler Street

Each block will have various levels of construction from curb to curb, and all blocks will not be impacted at once. Residents will receive direct letters once their block is scheduled for construction.

View the map of construction areas below.

Work will take approximately six months to complete in 2025. Residents are reminded to stay away from construction zones.
