Planning, building and development applications have different processing times depending on the type.

    Building Permit Inspections

    After a building permit is issued, residents and contractors require site inspections throughout construction. Scope and frequency of inspections are dependent on project scope.

    Cultural & Heritage Applications

    Heritage Alteration Permits are required to ensure any changes proposed to the character-defining elements of the designated heritage structure or property align with the Standards and Guidelines for the Conservation of Historic Places in Canada. Estimated timelines may vary with City Council public meeting schedule.
